​Multiage Preschool at Happy Valley Elementary

For Children ages 2.5-4 years of age

10am -1:30pm.  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (14 hrs./week)

Tuition: $400 - September tuition due by August 5th.

Registration/Activities/Supply fee: $250 *Non-refundable/one-time fee*​

This program is play-based and focuses on activities that foster creativity and social emotional development. We collaborate with the Happy Valley community.  The program may include visits to the library, music classroom, and reading buddies.  We are proud of our inclusion model and partnership with the Happy Valley Special Education Program.

Happy Valley & WCC Program classes are open for registration for current year.

3-day AM Preschool class – Children Ages 3 - 4 years of age 

AM class: 8:45-10:45am, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays

Tuition: **$180 month x 10 months 

For children who will have turned 3 by the start of school.

 

3-day PM Pre-K class – Children Ages 4 – 5 years of age 

PM class 12pm-3pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays

Tuition: **$225 month x 10 months 

For children who will have turned 4 by the start of school.

 

Toddler & Caregiver Class - a caregiver must attend with the child

10am-11:30am, Thursdays

Tuition: **$100 month x 10 months

Typically for children around 2 years old, who will enter our AM class the following fall.

WCC Preschool class – Children Ages 3 - 5 years of age 

Mixed Age: 9:30am-11:30am, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday

Tuition: **$180 month x 10 months 

For children who will have turned 3 by the start of school.

WCC Pilot Program is new for the 22-23 school year, it is modeled after our successful Happy Valley classes. The teachers for Happy Valley and WCC have paid time to collaborate with each other. The programs are held at different locations, but they are very connected within our co-op community.

Important Information

The co-op has 2 locations.

Our Happy Valley classes are located inside Happy Valley Elementary School.

Our WCC Pilot Program meets on the Whatcom Community College Campus.

Both programs follow the Bellingham School District Calendar.

The school year runs from September to mid-June.

Enrolling in the co-op is a 10 month commitment.

We do ask that children be in underwear when attending school with the

understanding that accidents happen.

Tuition Information:

Tuition is an annual cost broken up into 10 month installments due monthly
You may pay tuition in advance, or in less-frequent larger amounts.

Tuition payment is due the 5th of each month, paid 1 month prior (late fees apply)

First tuition payment for September is Due Aug 5th Last tuition payment for June is Due May 5th

Other Fees:

- A non-refundable per student registration fee of $100 holds your students place in the class

- $50 re-supply fee is due in February

- Families participate in annual fundraising and aim to raise around $200 per student enrolled.

Covid-19 safety protocols
More information will be provided to you prior to attending classes. We will continue taking precautions based on information we have about the Covid-19 pandemic.  These protocols will likely shift and change over the summer and into the 2022-2023 school year as the board deems necessary, and all changes will be communicated with families.


Current Mask Expectations
Whatcom Family Co-op Preschool is in alignment with the school district. Masks and face coverings are optional.
